MojNews-8 Iranian short films compete at Regina International Film Festival and Awards. 

Eight short films from Iran will take part in the Regina International Film Festival and Awards (RIFFA) in Regina, Canada, due to be held from August 20 to 30.

The Iranian films include “Spider-Zan” by Maryam Khodabakhsh, “Maroon” by Mahdi Rismani, “Suffocation” by Pedram Mehrkhah, “The Last Whinny of a Horse That Had Dreamt of Becoming a Butterfly” by Mahdieh Mohammadi, “Death Anniversary” by Armin Keshvari, “Deer” by Hadi Babaeifar, “Bonus” by Reza Nejati, and “Nowhere” by  Erfan Parsapour, Mehr reported.

The Regina International Film Festival and Awards (RIFFA) is an annual Canadian film festival, staged in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The event founded in 2015, and concentrated solely on short films in its first year. It was not held in 2016, with its second iteration instead taking place in 2017, but has been staged annually since then and has expanded to include feature films.

The festival also presents an annual program of awards to the films deemed to be the best in that year's festival.
