MojNews-Two Eurofighter training jets were downed on Monday in Mecklenburg Vorpommern state in northeastern Germany , after a mid-air collision, according to local media.

One pilot was rescued alive, while another remains missing as search efforts continue.

The crash , also confirmed by the German Defense Ministry , occurred over Malchow city with the aircraft falling into forestland.

The pilot of a third jet, who witnessed the crash, saw the two pilots eject with parachutes.
