MojNews_ An Iranian deputy foreign minister highlighted the enemy’s failure to drive a wedge between the foreign policy and defensive policy of Iran, stressing that Tehran continues to make progress in both domains in a synergetic manner.
In comments in a gathering of Iranian military commanders on the occasion of the National Army Day, Foreign Ministry’s Deputy for Political Affairs Ali Baqeri underlined that the enemy’s plot to drive a wedge between Iran’s foreign policy and defensive policy was foiled thanks to resistance learned from the prudence and vigilance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
He said resistance does not merely mean a defensive mechanism in the face of aggression by invaders against a country’s territorial integrity and the violation of a country’s independence.
Baqeri said the discipline hailing from the discourse of resistance brings stability and security and is lasting, inclusive and dynamic, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Lasting regional security is contingent upon explicit, transparent and unconditional rejection of aggression and occupation, he noted.
Baqeri added that the Western powers sent blood-thirsty terrorists with the logic of weapon to war on the human culture and civilization and unleashed al-Qaeda and Daesh on regional nations, but the resistance proved its superiority with the weapon of logic and by moving toward developing an identity for human beings and creating civilizations for nations in order to realize the goal of progress in light of security.
He also referred to some efforts to portray the resistance as a current that acts against order and causes chaos, saying it has been proved in practice that the inclusive doctrine of resistance is meant to efficiently run the society and help free humans achieve excellence and give identity to independent nations.
During the imposed war, some powers also tried to depict Iran as the party causing tension and chaos and portray Saddam as the axis of stability and peace but history proved that aggression and occupation do not bring order and stability, the deputy minister stated.
