Erdogan talks with Putin and Zelenskyy about the Ukraine war
In a telephone conversation with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, the Turkish president announced his readiness to help export grain from Ukraine, calling for confidence-building between Kiev and Moscow for peace between the two sides.

The Turkish presidency issued a statement about Erdogan۳۹;s phone call with Zelenskyy, saying:
In this call, the latest developments in the Ukraine-Russia war were discussed. Erdogan stated that Turkey has made every effort to continue negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and is now ready to provide any necessary assistance, including mediation.
The statement said:
Erdogan stressed that he attaches special importance to the project of creating a safe passage for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea.
Accordingly, he also stated:
Turkey is looking forward to joining the UN-sponsored Control Center, which is hosted by the center in Istanbul.

The contact focused on Turkish-Russian relations, as well as regional issues, especially the Ukraine-Russia war.
The statement said:
Erdogan stressed the need to take steps to minimize the negative effects of the war and to build trust by restoring the ground for peace between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible.
The statement added:
Erdogan announced Turkey۳۹;s readiness if the two sides agree in principle to meet between Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations in Istanbul and play a role in a possible monitoring mechanism.
