The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency stated: Iran's gradual withdrawal from its commitments in the framework of the nuclear program does not mean that Tehran is involved in the production of nuclear weapons.

MojNews_ Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in an interview published on Friday with the Spanish newspaper Pais: "There was a legal framework that required a number of voluntary restrictions for Iran that were part of the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan."

According to him, after former US President Donald Trump decided to withdraw from this agreement, Iran is gradually and continuously withdrawing from various obligations.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed in ۲۰۱۵ with Iran to overcome the country&#۳۹;s nuclear development crisis by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany.

The previous president of the United States, Donald Trump, decided to withdraw from this agreement in ۲۰۱۸. Joe Biden, the current leader of the United States, has repeatedly expressed his desire to return Washington to the nuclear agreement with Tehran.

Russia, Britain, Germany, China, America and France have been negotiating with Iran since April last year in Vienna to restore the JCPOA to its original form.
